post_logo_2017Curses – foiled again! Local Whiskey seems like an all-too-appropriate location as Brandon, Mike, Kevin, and Chris try to drown their sorrows following Ohio State’s comeback victory even as they look ahead to another tough roadie in East Lansing and ponder Penn State’s slim hopes of salvaging the championship dream. Joel Malnick of Collegiate Athletic Travel makes his debut to preview possible bowl destinations, while Michigan native and occasional MSU fan (nobody’s perfect) Capt. Mark Butler stops in to honor Leatherneck Leader Koa Farmer.

post_logo_2017Brandon, Mike, Kevin, and Chris relax for a fireside chat in the back bar of Champs North Atherton on the doorstep of the season’s pivotal matchup – Penn State’s road trip to Columbus. Penn State professor of Booze and Culture Kirk French returns to talk tailgate archaeology; Chris actually does some show prep, and Capt. Butler has the USMC Leatherneck Leader of the week: Linebacker Jason Cabinda.

post_logo_2017It’s the bye week, which can only mean one thing – time for a low-effort clip show! The guys still find the chance to sample some State College craft brews at Happy Valley Brewing Company and reflect on Penn State’s 7-0 start. Come the tribute to Leatherneck Leader Trace McSorley, stay for the extended footage of campus on a snowy day.

post_logo_2017The show moves out to The American Ale House, a bar located in a densely-wooded neighborhood (named, in fact, for its many trees) on the periphery of Patton Township in State College. The guys hear about Kevin’s trip to Iowa City, learn the story behind blue-and-white Tailgater Taters, and welcome Sgt. Willie Walton to honor Leatherneck Leader Saquon Barkley, for his standout performance against the Hawkeyes.

post_logo_2017Marcus Allen did everything for Penn State during his four years starting a safety… almost everything. The guys recognize his lone interception in the previous week’s game against Georgia State with the Leatherneck Leader award. Set up in a wrestling ring in the basement of Champs Downtown, Brandon, Mike, Kevin, and Chris resort to voodoo – with a nod to one of the greatest sports movies of all time – to exorcise the demons of Iowa games past.

post_logo_2017With Pitt vanquished, Brandon, Mike, Kevin, and Chris are once again at Champs Downtown, reflecting on the weekend atmosphere and the game itself. Capt. Butler swings by to recognize Leatherneck Leader DaeSean Hamilton, and Penn State professor of “Booze and Culture” Kirk French makes the first of many appearances, sharing some potent and exotic spirits.

post_logo_2017The Penn State-Pitt rivalry returns to Happy Valley, and the guys are ready for some vengeance. Don Leitzell of Diversified Asset Planners, a lifelong Nittany Lions fan who built his business in State College, visits the set to tell his story. Defensive end Ryan Buccholz is the Leatherneck Leader, and Brandon, Mike, and Kevin gang up on Chris to convince him the Pitt game should happen ever year. Filmed at Champs Downtown.

post_logo_2017Brandon’s mustache is gone and so are Kevin’s wisdom teeth. The guys are back at Champs Downtown to talk about the season opener against the Akron Zips. Capt. Mark Butler of the State College USMC office is in his usual spot, recognizing Leatherneck Leader Blake Gillikin. Everyone lampoons the Athletic Department’s ludicrous plan to park RVs at the Grange Fairgrounds.
